Our Shadows

We were at Eastshore Hospital visiting granny. On our way out to carpark, we saw our shadows and decided to take a pic of it.

His Favourite

What is my husband's favourite food? Abalone.
This is something I created........double boiled abalone, steamed prawns and scallops, all tossed in a bowl of abalone noodle.

Is Life in Your Hand?

There are people saying that their lives are in their hands and they can control everything. True? I used to believe so. But after so much of experiencing of trying to be pregnant, I don't bleieve anymore. I felt my life is in God's hands. How much I have? How much I earn? How should I live? How should I die? What is my career path like? What kind of life will I have? It's all in God's hands. I can choose to make more monies but somewhere it will leak out from my pocket. I can choose my career but I may not get job satisfaction I want. So what make all these happen?

God is our Father. Always to believe that your Father will not be out there to harm you. He will do His utmost best to protect you. But Satan is just as strong. He will find all means and ways to make your life miserable. So how? Praying faithfully is the only way. As long as you are faithful and respectful to God, Satan will find it hard to come into your life. Why? Cause your bond with Father is so strong that no one can break them easily.

With my buddy being cured from cancer and my aunt suffering from cancer now, I can only say that I had seen how God can work. Prayers are so powerful and God will definately hear us. You don't need to use bombastic words, just simple words and He can understand how you feel and what you want. Just remember, PRAY.........with a faithful heart!

Bangkok again.......2010

Here we go again........ We had enjoyed Bangkok so much that we decided to go again, but at the wrong timing!! The REDs are everywhere, every corner of the shopping areas. However, the situation forced us to explore into other new areas. Good or bad? They are like locusts, swarming every around. Their protest will only start when the night fall. It is scary and I thank God that Singapore is peaceful.

Nevertheless, nobody can stop me from shopping. I manage to go to Or Tor Kor and Union Mall. Or Tor Kor is a bit like Chatuchak. The only difference is that it is not so big and you won't get lost so easily. They have plenty of fruits, cooked food, raw food, BBQ food, etc.......How to get there? Take BTS to Chatuchak station and change to the underground train(MRT) to Kamphang
Phet Station. This depends whether you are near BTS or MRT. The MRT station is just at the door of Or Tor Kor.

These durains are gigantic and the skin is very thick. The stall holders will have to use a sharp knife to slice off the skin bit by bit. Thais like them about 80% ripe, but we love them at 100% ripe. When they are not fully ripe, it is quite hard. But when it is fully ripe. it is sweet and very creamy. Really yummy!

Fresh fruit and vegetable juice are easily available. I bought lotus root juice. This is good for my gastric problem.

Union Mall is very much like Lucky Plaza. Lots of small shops at great bargain. It's just that you have to be petite in order to buy clothes in Thailand. You can go into any malls and they will turn out to be the same. If you are on the heavy size, it's really hard to buy the clothes that you want. What makes it worse is that some stall holders will not allow you to try on. If you shop around Union Mall till about 4.30pm, the Pasar Malam outside the mall will soon be ready.

MBK was also open on the second day of the riot. I guess all tourists must be happy at that moment, just like me. It was flooded with locals and tourists cause Siam Paragon, Isetan, Central were closed.

I found a nice little shop selling shoes. They are pretty and inexpensive. It range from 199baht to 399baht. I took some pics of a few of my favourites in a corner of the shop.

I also manage to find some delicacy. Well.....I call them delicacy cause you can't get them in Singapore. And it seems you can only get them during certain season....

What are they????????????

Bamboo worms, crickets, grasshoppers.........mmmmmmmmm.............yumm....ooooooo
